ThumbPeople’s mission is to help children experience the amazing love of God at an early age, with their parents as their guide, in a quiet bedtime environment where God can really touch lives in a powerful way.

We believe there is nothing more important in a child’s life, than to know they are always and unconditionally loved by God. When children have God’s love as their foundation and core, it gives them a true identity to help them grow to live an abundant life.

Using fun filled bedtime books and music, our goal is to help make this God experience rich and inviting for both parent and child. When parents have the opportunity to tell their children about God’s love for them – while loving them – it makes the reality of God come alive in the child’s heart.

Your Child’s Identity: Unfortunately, today’s society lives by the mantra: “Make sure you don’t offend anyone.” Society wants to teach our children an ambivalent moral code with “politically correct” words such as “Tolerance” and “Moral Diversity.” In the process of learning “You do things your way, I’ll do them my way” and “There are hundreds of ways to heaven” the enemy is stealing our children from their true identities as children of God. Unfortunately, the end result is broken relationships, addictions and teenagers who look for love in all the wrong places.

ThumbPeople believes it is a whole lot easier to prevent problems than it is to solve them. With this in mind, we know that children who have a strong foundation of God’s love are substantially less likely to search for love in those wrong places.

a. Talk about other people who also think that your child is precious.
b. Say a prayer for each of them so your child learns the idea of praying for others.

a. Their thumbprint, hair color, eyes, height – physical characteristics
b. Their name/meaning of their name. Personality traits and things they are good at.

a. How you anticipated them, how you thought of names for them, how you decorated their room, etc.
b. Show them pictures of when they were a little baby

See the Jesus page… Explain how Jesus is God’s son – similar to how your son/daughter is your child

a. Tell your child how you love them – and how real love is – even though you cannot see or touch it.
b. Explain how God is real – just like love is real.

a. Explain how you will always them – no matter what they say or do
b. Explain how you and God always want the very best for them
c. Ask your child if you have hurt their feelings, and sincerely ask for their forgiveness

a. Explain how it makes your heart sing when you see them happy
b. Hug them and let them know that you love them – just the way they are.

a. Explain how God loves to hear from them – just like Grandma or Grandpa on a phone call
b. Practice different ways of praying – arms up, on your knees, holding hands, thumbs up etc…
