Have you had those days where you felt like you were literally being attacked – mentally, physically and spiritually all at the same time?
Days where you got up, physically you knew you weren’t feeling well, at all (migraine, bad cold etc.). Then the mental attack starts – stating you should go back to bed – there’s no way you will make it, but then you remember all that needs to be done for the day and your commitments. You start wrestling back and forth with yourself which causes more unrest.
Then because of all that is going on at the same time you forget . . . you forget you have a God who loves you so much, who is with you, who wants to take care of you and comfort you in your distress. A most wonderful God who longs for you to know this, that His peace (tranquility, harmony, security and safety) He gives freely – a peace that surpasses all understanding.
This is the time I start worshipping God, proclaiming out loud who He is, thanking Him for all that He has done and is doing. This helps to get my eyes off myself and onto the one, who created me, who knows me best and is the one who is always at work in me making me more like His son, Jesus. I then try to get quiet and listen to soaking music, like Words of Healing, and just receive what the Lord has for me!
So what is the point of this writing? It’s this, don’t give up. Continue to persevere but persevere knowing that God is taking care of you. That His attention is on you and He longs for us to look into His eyes and say “Thank you, Daddy, for being with me and for taking care of me.”
Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for caring so deeply about each and every one of us. I pray that you would break away any lies we believe about our situation and would inject your truth about the situation. I pray for wisdom and understanding and a transformed mind’s eye. I pray your Word would come forth and set your people free! In Jesus name I pray - Amen!
